Agnes Inez Coake, of Henderson Nevada, passed away on April 14, 2020 at St. Rose Siena
Hospital at the age of 78. Agnes was born on August 20, 1941 in Cestohowa, Texas to the late
Iola Gatliff Hector and John Oury Hector. She was raised in Texas where she grew up in a
loving home with her six siblings. She has a family of six children with her first spouse Glenn F.
Sigmund Jr. After their divorce, she moved to Southern California in 1978 where she worked at
Airlife Medical Supply Company. She gained two step children when she married Leland Noal
Coake on June 16, 1984. Later, in 1988, Leland’s job took them to Henderson Nevada where
she spent her final days.
Agnes was a loving wife and devoted mother. She was compassionate, generous, and always
willing to help anyone in need. She absolutely adored and loved her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren and they filled her heart with so much joy. She loved her nieces and
nephews very much and each of them held a very special place in her heart. She truly just
enjoyed spending time with her family because they meant the world to her. She loved
unconditionally and was always supportive and nonjudgmental. Above all else she was a faithful
servant of God and woman of faith.
Agnes loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She always went out of her way to make
everyone their own special treat on their birthdays and she would spend countless hours baking
at Christmas to make sure she gave everyone home baked treats. She was very adventurous
and loved the outdoors. Camping and fishing were her favorite things to do. Traveling was also
a passion of hers and she always looked forward to her annual trips to Texas because she
really enjoyed spending time with family there. Spending time in fellowship with her church
family was also very important to her. She enjoyed being a part of the scripture quilt ministry
because she loved blessing others. Most importantly, she loved serving the Lord and she had a
strong foundation in her faith.
She will forever be missed by her husband, Leland Coake; children, Cynthia Sigmund West;
