March 20, 1976 — October 31, 2016

Airan Ropoama Pohe, 40, of Boulder City, passed away on Monday, Oct 31st 2016. He was born on March 20th 1976, in Las Vegas, NV, to Kawana and Elizabeth Pohe.  He graduated from Boulder City High School in 1994. After graduation Airan joined the Carpenters’ Union and with his friend Dan Richardson formed a company called Viruez Bobcats.  They also built two houses in Henderson.  He spent much of his life working for his family’s business. He was generous, kind, funny, and genuine. This genuine nature led him to make friends wherever he went and he was always there for anyone who needed him.  He loved music and skateboarding.  Airan had a large extended family in New Zealand that he loved to visit whenever possible. He was immensely proud of his heritage and culture.  He was even more proud of his children and they were his greatest love.  Airan is survived by his daughters, Alexus and Adrian Pohe; sons, Airan and Manu Pohe; parents, Kawana and Elizabeth Pohe; brother, Kae Jr. (Andrea) Pohe, sister, Kara (Jason) Larsen; half-sister Kiane Cook of Australia; his Uncle Christopher (LouAnn) Johns, many cousins and relatives in New Zealand, and countless friends in Boulder City and Las Vegas. A celebration of his life will be at 1 p.m on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Skate Park in Veterans Memorial Park, 1650 Buchanan Boulevard, Boulder City.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Airan’s children at the Boulder Dam Credit Union, Account #77048007. “E rere kau mai Te Awa nui mai te Kahui Maunga ki Tangaroa, Ko au te Awa Ko te Awa Ko Au.  The Mighty River flows from the Mountains to the Sea, I am the River and the River is Me” Airan will make his final journey home to New Zealand where he will be laid to rest with his family ancestors in the family cemetary at Turaangarere, Omoti.
