Albert Joseph Medley

Albert Joseph Medley, AKA "Jay or Butch", a proud veteran of over 24 years of the United States Air Force, passed away peacefully on May 12^th, 2023 in Boulder City, NV at the age of 81.

Jay was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 6th, 1942. At the age of 22, Jay enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He proudly served his country until his retirement on September 30, 1988. After his distinguished Air Force career, he worked a second career at Levi Strauss in Henderson, NV for 27 years, until his official retirement in 2017. 

Jay is survived by his wife of 44 years, Yong Ae Medley; his children Mona, Douglas, Hae John, Christina, and Mary; his granddaughter Ava; brother David and sister-in-law Priscilla; daughter-in-law Erica; son-in- law Ryan, and countless others who remember Jay for both his selfless and loving nature and immense pride and devotion to his family, God, and country. 

Jay will be buried with full military honors at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on June 9th, 2023 at 10:40 am. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to Prince of Peace Catholic Church at www.princeofpeacelasvegas.org/give
