Anita Jensen

Anita Heaton Jensen, 86, of Boulder City died Sunday morning August 27, 2017. Anita was born August 19, 1931 in Kanab Utah, the daughter of Clifford K. Heaton and Annie McAllister.  She graduated from Kanab High School then attended classes at LDS Business College.  She accepted a position with Beneficial Life Insurance Company, while employed there she met Alton Dean Jensen whom she married on March 14, 1953, they were later sealed in the Las Vegas Temple.

She was well known for her work and service in the LDS Church, as a member of the Ladies Literary Club, as a member of The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and her work with Lend-A-Hand in the Boulder City/Las Vegas area.

She is survived by her sons Dale (wife Lori) and Ryan; three grandchildren, Dane, Eric and Keri; and her sister Karolee Oblad, and brothers Steve and Brent Heaton. She was preceded in death by her son Bradley, her parents and her husband Alton Dean Jensen. Also by her sister Alta Kay Broadhead and brothers, Wendel Heaton, Wayne Heaton & Charlie Heaton.

A viewing will be held Friday, 1 September 2017 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at the LDS Church, 916 5th Street, Boulder City, Nevada. A graveside service will be held September 2, 2017 at 2:30 PM in the Gunnison City Cemetery, Gunnison, Utah. The family wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Lend-A-Hand of Boulder City, 400 Utah Street, Boulder City, Nevada, 89005.
