Armando Rivera

Armando Rivera, age 68, of Mesquite, Nevada passed away at home surrounded by family on March 18, 2023.  He was born in Mexico on September 6, 1954 to Pablo Rivera Solano and Narciza Pacheco Navarro.   He married Alma Mendiola on March 9th, 1994 in Rupert, Idaho.

Armando worked as a long-haul truck driver and loved his work.  He enjoyed music, dancing and having a good time at parties.  He enjoyed watching soccer, going to rodeos and horse races.  He was a cowboy who loved to wear his boots and cowboy hat.  He enjoyed having a good time and drinking tequila with family and friends.

Armando is survived by his wife Alma Rivera; four children Alma Mercado, Carmen (Misael) Lara, Juan Mercado, Natalia (Miguel Lopez) Rivera; seven grandchildren Britney, Bianca, Aryana, Beyonce, Denice, Junior, Zaydan; a great grandchild Asaiah; siblings Francisco Rivera, Arturo Rivera, Jaime Rivera, Bertha Rivera, Cruz Rivera.  He is preceded in death by three siblings Everardo Rivera, Leopoldo Rivera, and Anna Rosa Rivera.

Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 10am at  La Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church. 401 Canton Crest Blvd Mesquite, NV 89027.  Visitation will be held after from 1130 am- 1:30pm at Star Mortuary.  Family and friends are invited to sign an online guestbook at www.starmortuary.com
