It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Jane Falco, of Boulder City, NV, announces her passing on 27 November 2018, after a brief illness, at age 81 years.
A graduate of Holy Family High School in Bayonne, New Jersey, she attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing and Seton Hall University. Barbara played many roles in her life – student, traveler, nurse, wife, nursing instructor, and mother. She was known for both her warm, infectious laugh and her piercing intellect. Barbara saw Bob Marley live in the islands, made it to Woodstock, knew every path at Disneyland and Disneyworld and traveled to many countries during her life journey. A woman ahead of her time, she was a role model for her peers and an advocate for children and families. Barbara held many professional titles in her career as a pediatric nurse, however she was most proud of the title Grandma.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Veronica and her brother Lou. She is survived by her husband of half a century, Frank, children Jenn, Jason, Kim and Ken and the joy of her life three grandchildren Indiana, Kiley and Kirin who describe her as “silly, happy and just.”
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held in Boulder City at the family home at 1125 Seno Court on Sunday, 9th of December 2018 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, Barbara was a supporter of Make A Wish. Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
