Barbara Jean Layne

Barbara Jean Layne, a resident of Boulder City, NV for over 40 years passed away July 3, 2023. Just one day shy of her 95^th birthday.  Barbara was born in Kimball, Nebraska on July 4, 1928 to Herbert and Bernice Hueftle. 

She grew up in Denver, Colorado and after graduation they moved to the Los Angeles area where she worked at Square D Electric and met Milton Layne.  They were married on April 1, 1950 and enjoyed  70 years. They had three sons: Michael, Wendy and Dustin. Barbara enjoyed racing, dancing, bowling, traveling and playing the keno.

She is survived by her two sons Michael (Gayle), Dustin (Jeri), eleven grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her spouse Milton; a son Wendy; her older brother LeRoy and her parents Herbert and Bernice.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10 am at Bethany Baptist Church 210 Wyoming Street Boulder City, NV 89005.  Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 9 am.  We invite family and friends to sign an online memorial guestbook at www.starmortuary.com
