Barbara Joan Mang, age 82, peacefully passed away in her home on Easter morning, April 9, 2023. She had loved ones by her side.
Barbara was born on September 9, 1940 in her grandmother’s home in Loveland, Colorado. She graduated from Loveland High School in 1958. She very much loved spending time with her family and friends, reading books, especially Danielle Steel novels and The Notebook was one of her favorite movies. She was a phenomenal cook and most enjoyed her favorite snack, Oreos, although she could make one package outlast anyone. She loved seashells, geode rocks, greeting cards and family photos as they were always beautifully displayed in her home as her most cherished treasures. She and Tom had a lifelong passion for gambling which fueled their dream of moving from Colorado to Mesquite in 1998. It was here in Mesquite that they built their beautiful life story together.
Barbara leaves behind her husband Thomas (Tom) of 45 years, her 3 daughters; Robin, Wendy (Doug) and Tammie (Justin). Her 3 grandchildren; Mackenzie (Nicholas), Lindsay (John) and Regis (Megan) and 6 great-grandchildren; Harley, Wyatt, Griffin, Lochlan, Elia and Riley. Barbara has 3 younger siblings; Arlene (Erv), Sharon and half-sister Kelly.
Easter was her favorite holiday, aside from Christmas. She always made them extra special for Tom and her family. Her family feels comfort knowing she chose a very special Godly day to return home to Jesus to rest in eternal peace. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her and forever remembered and loved.
