Bonnie Jean Stewart

Bonnie Jean Stewart, 83, passed away July 27, 2023 at Beehive Homes

of Mesquite. She was born August 2, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah the only child to Ray

S. and Mary Winegar Barnes. She married Jon A, Tait on January 9, 1960 in Elko,

Nevada and was the parent to four daughters. They later divorced. She married

Dennis Stewart in October, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bonnie was raised and lived in the Salt Lake Valley for most of her life until she moved

to Mesquite with her second husband Dennis in 2003. She retired from Blue Cross Blue

Shield of Utah in 1999. Once she moved to Mesquite, she became active in the Desert

Dames, Lions Club of Mesquite, United Methodist Church and her Home Owners

Association.

She is survived by her four daughters Mary Anne Connole (Scott), Mesquite, NV, Terri

Lynn Hunt (Larry), Hurricane, UT, Vicki Farney (James), Lowville, NY, and Susan Rae

Hirst (Nic Adams), West Jordan, UT; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Jon and husband Dennis.

Her family wants to thank her Beehive Homes of Mesquite family and the wonderful

staff at Mesa View Hospice for the love and care they showed our Mom during the last

years of her life she considered them family also.

At Bonnie’s request there will be no funeral, instead the family will have a private

celebration of life at a later date in Mesquite, NV. We invite family and friends to leave
