Carolyn Sandberg

Carolyn Kay Sandberg, age 79 of Boulder City, NV passed away on March 20, 2022.  She was born on April 3, 1942 in Muscatine, Iowa to Earl and Kathleen “Virginia” Budlier Petersen.  She married Richard “Dick” Sandberg  on March 11, 1967 in Las Vegas, NV.  They moved to Boulder City from Granada Hills, CA on April 3, 1983.

Carolyn enjoyed traveling and was part of the Rolling Boulders, a RV club that traveled together.  She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies.  She also enjoyed spending time floating in the pool with her neighbors at Lake Mountain Estates.  She was an avid collector of things that made her happy.

Carolyn is survived by her step daughter Juli (Don) Kelley; two brothers Dave Petersen and Bob Petersen; four grandchildren Glen (Jamie), Laurissa (Brandon), Devin, Bryce (Claire); seven great grandchildren Charlotte, Owen, Wyatt, Adam, Lincoln, Juliette and Harrison.  She is preceded in death by her husband Dick Sandberg, and a step son Glen Sandberg.

Carolyn will be cremated and placed at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 8:40 am with her late husband.  Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
