Carolyn Stewart

Carolyn Joyce Stewart, age 70, of North Las Vegas, NV passed away on September 27, 2014. She was born in Dallas, TX on February 21, 1944 to Lawrence and Cleo Miles. She joined Ben WashingtonChurch in Irving, TX at an early age. She attended J.O. Davis School in Irving, TX until she moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1960. She graduated from Dorsey High School in 1961. She was united with James Bowden in 1962 where they had four beautiful children. Carolyn worked as a secretary for Transamerica Occidental for many years. Until she moved to Vegas in 1997 where she worked for the Clark County School District until retiring in 2012. She loved to bake, cook, travel, and just spend time with family and friends. She married Isaac Berry Stewart on October 25, 1988 in Las Vegas, NV.

She is survived by her children Camella Bowden, Willis (Mimi) Bowden, Angela Stewart, Isaac Berry Stewart JR; brothers and sisters Lawrence Miles, Shelby Miles, Gloria Oliver; 11 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Isaac Stewart; children Rodney Dwayne Bowden, Melodie Yvette Branom; brothers and sisters Don Miles, Gwendolyn Moore, Reuben Miles, and Delores Miles.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 1:20at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 to 12:00 at the Boulder City Family Mortuary 833 Nevada Hwy Ste 1 Boulder City, NV 89005.
