Charles Mccormick

January 10, 1941 — August 28, 2017

Charles ‘Larry’ Lawrence McCormick, age 76, after battling a two year cancer diagnosis, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV.  He was born on January 10, 1941 in Youngstown, OH to Laurence and Maybel Helms McCormick.  Larry served four years in the Army & after his discharge resided in Sparks, NV until 1967, when he relocated to the Las Vegas valley.  He married Lee Ann Tow on December 1, 1985 in Las Vegas, NV where they celebrated 32 wonderful, blessed years together.

Larry loved to travel in his fifth wheel with his wife Lee Ann and their dog Onyx & in 2006 they began an 11 year journey of fulltime rv’ing exploring all of the lower 48 states.  He enjoyed fishing, bowling, line dancing and playing cards (Hand and Foot was his favorite). Larry worked for Bell Telephone for many years before becoming an Insurance/Securities Broker the last 30 years of his life. He was a member of the Ely, NV Elks Club.

Larry is survived by his wife Lee Ann and four (4) sons, Jim (Paula), Tom, Don (Kelly), and Larry (Tawnia) McCormick, one (1) sister, Bonnie (Larry) Fiscus & one (1) brother, Jerry (Ann) McCormick, ten (10) grandchildren and twelve (12) great grandchildren. Larry is preceded in death by son Kenny McCormick. Larry loved and adored all of his family which included many nieces, nephews & cousins throughout the country.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on September 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Highland Hills Baptist Church, 615 College Drive Henderson, NV 89002.  Family and friends are encouraged to leave any thoughts or memories they would like to share on the online memorial guestbook at: www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
