Claudia Leavitt

Claudia Leavitt, age 87 of Bunkerville, NV passed away on December 11, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born on July 15, 1935 in St George, UT to Evan Waite and Dorothy Hunt Waite and was raised in Bunkerville. She married Leroy Leavitt on July 4, 1953 in Bunkerville, NV. In 1955, they moved to Las Vegas where they raised their family. Claudia moved back to Bunkerville in 2007.

Claudia was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many capacities. She enjoyed working at the temple, doing genealogy, singing, playing the piano, and playing the organ. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and she liked fresh flowers. Family was always super important to her and she enjoyed yearly family vacations throughout her life.

Claudia is survived by her four sons; Jonathan (Susan) Leavitt, Andrew (Kim) Leavitt, Ted (Debby) Leavitt, Jeremy (Denise) Leavitt, a daughter; Maria Shook, three brothers; Norman (Joan) Waite, Michael (Lynnette) Waite, Douglas (Vicki) Waite, two sisters; Carol (Cecil) Leavitt and Debbra Waite-Lusk.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 5-7 pm at the Bunkerville LDS Chapel, 355 West Virgin Street, Bunkerville, NV 89007 and on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 9-10 am at the Bunkerville LDS Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 10 am, with burial at the Bunkerville Cemetery.
