Cleo Preston “Pat” Raitt JR, age 85, passed away in Boulder City, NV at the Nevada State Veterans Home. He was born in McGehee, AR on February 9, 1933 to Cleo and Thomas Delitha Keahey Raitt. He served his country in the United State Air Force for over 20 years retiring in 1973 as a TSGT. While in the Air Force he worked in the OSI, the Office of Special Investigations. After retiring he worked for the Gaming Control Board as an investigator.
Pat was highly involved in the Boy Scouts of America and received the honor of the Silver Beaver and the Order of the Arrow. He taught mountain man skills at Camp Potosi for many years. Pat had great passion for the outdoors; hunting, fishing. He was avid deep sea and scuba diver and was president of his scuba diving club while living in Florida. He was an expert with the bull whip and loved to entertain others with his skill and tricks. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his two children Terrie (David) Knell, Preston Earl “Chip” Raitt; two grandchildren Erica and Michael. He is preceded in death by his two wives Earlenane “Kay” Horn Raitt and Betty Lee Mills Raitt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 9:00 to 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1550 Buchanan Blvd Boulder City, NV 89005. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 with burial at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery to follow.
