David Asmus

David Elwyn Asmus, age 79, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on July 15, 2018.  He was born in Bayport, MN on December 1, 1938 to William and Marcella Asmus.  He married Gloria Asmus, his high school sweetheart from Stillwater, MN, on May 21, 1958, in New Hampton, Iowa, while on leave from the Air Force.  David and Gloria enjoyed going to breakfast every morning with each other, and life in general. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversay.  He served his country for 28 years, retiring in 1985 as a Chief Master Sergeant.  After his military career, he worked for U.S. Immigration.  He very much enjoyed traveling and being with family.

David is survived by his wife Gloria Asmus, three sons Kevin (Sue) Asmus, Ralph Asmus, Keith Asmus, his two sisters: Marvel (Don) Lutz, Lorene Hamble, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers and a sister: Gerald Asmus, LeRoy Asmus and Marilyn Lutz.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Hwy Ste 1, Boulder City, NV 89005.  Funeral Services will be held following the visitation at 12:00 noon at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV.  Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
