David Arthur Lee was born January 23, 1934 in Monroe, UT to Ioan Magelby and Arthur Hilmer Lee. He passed away in Boulder City, NV on September 25, 2013 at his home. He grew up in Monroe with his brothers, Henry and Stephen, and his sisters, Annabel and Josephine.
Dave was an excellent communicator and teacher. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English. He and his wife, Emily, and children, Linda and Doug, moved to Boulder City, NV in 1965 for employment with the Bureau of Reclamation. They loved Boulder City so much that they made it their home for over 45 years.
Dave could often be found at sporting events. He never missed a grandchild's T-ball, football, or basketball game. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved spending time at his cabin in Pine Valley, UT. Dave also taught business classes for the Community College of Southern Nevada for over 31 years - and now the professor has closed his books.
Dave is survived by: his wife, Emily; children Linda (Russell) Hafen and Doug (Robin) Lee; seven grandchildren, Lee (Abbie), Megan, Andrew, and Nate Hafen, and Morgan, Greg, and Zach Lee; three great-grandchildren; Jake, Jenna, and Macy Hafen; brothers, Henry and Stephen; and a sister Annabel. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ioan and Arthur Lee, and sister, Josephine.
Funeral services will be held at the Fifth Street building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Boulder City on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 1:00pm viewing at 12:00 noon.
