Mesquite

David John Salvesen born March 23, 1949 passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on Saturday, February 22 in his home in Mesquite Nevada. He is preceded in death by his parents Mervin Norman Salvesen and Jane Bailey Wyatt of Nibley, Utah.

Dave grew up in Blacksmith Fork Canyon with his six brothers where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He attended Utah State University. David managed the family business, Salvesen Dairy for 12 years. He was an adventurous entrepreneur and owned several businesses throughout his life before retiring to Mesquite, NV in 2018.

David's life changed forever and he became truly alive when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1985 and became born again.

Dave enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends, camping, boating, bicycling and snowmobiling. He loved creating these fun memories for his children and granddaughters whom he dearly loved. His granddaughters were the joy of his life. Dave had many fond memories of times together and places that he has enjoyed with his family.

David is survived by his dedicated wife of 54 years Victoria and their two children Angela Ann Salvesen and Christopher John Salvesen (Loren). Dave also leaves behind his three beautiful granddaughters; Isabella, Lily, and Vivian. God blessed him last year by giving his first great granddaughter, Riaya. Dave will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

The family would also like to offer a special heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Mesa View Homecare and Hospice. You made this transition much easier with your love, compassion and kindness! Thank you all again for everything!

Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family request a donation be made in Dave's honor to the Oasis Christian Book Store in Logan Utah.
