David L. Shuler, 72, from Truth or Consequences, NM, passed away on August 4, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV where he came to be with family for the end of life. David was born in Roswell, NM and moved to Sinton, TX at the age of 9. David joined the Air Force at the age of 17 and retired as a Tech Sergeant and Air Traffic Controller. After retiring from the Air Force, he spent most of his time on the golf course.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude Rowland and Harmon Shuler, and brother, Allen Shuler. David is survived by his sister, Betty Mankowski of Las Vegas, NV, sister Sharla Escarzaga of Corpus Christi, TX, and brother, Lloyd Rowland of Pahrump, NV. He is also survived by his nieces, Jana Henry of Las Vegas, NV, Sherrie Gibson of Corpus Christi, TX, nephews Gary Severns of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Severns of Port Orchard, WA, and Michael Gibson of Odem, TX. David was also a great uncle to 14 and great-great uncle to 9. David was very much loved and will be missed.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 16, 2018 at 12:40 pm at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive Boulder City, Nevada. Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
