DeForest John Rall "Frosty"

DeForest “Frosty” John Rall, age 89, of Scenic, AZ passed away on February 26, 2024 surrounded by family.   He was born November 22, 1934 in Dickey County, ND to John Joseph Rall and Martha Rose (Raessler) Rall.  He married Margaret Estelle Brokaw on November 21, 1954 in Ellendale, ND.  They moved to Mesquite, NV in 1994 and retired to Scenic, AZ where he has spent the last twenty years.

DeForest attended the University of North Dakota where he earned a doctoral degree from the School of Business in 1971.  He became a professor at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT and continued there as an educator until his retirement in 1993.  After retirement, DeForest and wife Margaret relocated to Southern Utah and Nevada where he stayed busy selling and developing real estate.   He was an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Rall; five children John (Dianna) Rall, David (Cora) Rall, Margaret “Micky” McLees, Douglas Rall, Richard Rall; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; brothers Maynard Rall, Durand Rall, and sister Linda Edwards.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings Elery and Gwyn.
