Donald “Troy” Jones passed away peacefully at his home in Mesquite, Nevada, on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the age of 60. He was born on November 11, 1964, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Donald Jones and Diana (Jones) Albrand.

Troy proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Gulf War. After his military service, he joined his father in the family’s commercial construction business in Utah. In 2004, he made Mesquite, Nevada his home, where he continued his work as a commercial project manager.

Known for his joyful spirit and love of life, Troy brought laughter and light wherever he went. He had a knack for giving everyone nicknames and loved to tease his friends—always with warmth and affection. Whether it was playing a round of golf, watching sports, or placing bets, Troy found joy in the little things. But above all, he valued time spent with his friends and family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Jones of Mesquite, NV; his daughter, Taylor M. Blaser (Isaac) of Tennessee; his father, Donald D. Jones (Paulina) of Utah; and his brother, Jason R. Jones (Kathy) of Utah. He was preceded in death by his mother, Diana L. Albrand, and his brother, Kelly L. Jones.

A graveside service will be held at Mesquite City Cemetery located at 1362 Hardy Way in Mesquite, NV on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 9:00 am.

Troy’s energy, sense of humor, and big heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but in the meantime, he wants to say to you all…we’ll see ya later you crazy kids!
