Donald Lester Smale Jr. (age 53) passed on Nov 27th, 2021 at Desert Springs Hospital.
Don lived in Boulder City most of his life, moving to Boulder in the early 70’s with his brother Rick, his mother Dorthy, and his father Donald. Don’s adult life consisted of him working in many different occupations including a Chef, Political Field Director, Construction Materials Purchasing, and Bowling Pinsetter Mechanic, all done with his immaculate humor and infectious smile. Don was a USBC Local Hall of Famer, and will be remembered for his dedication to the sport of bowling. Don spent the last 8 years of his life helping youth, amatuer, and professional bowlers learn their craft and become the best versions of themselves. Although his passion for bowling was immense, his love for his family was weighted much more. Holiday meals were taken care of by him and his wife, and always cooked with love. He leaves behind his wife Jamie Smale, his brother Fredrick Smale, and his two sons Robert Smale and Teagan Smale, along with 5 grandchildren. His positivity, caring spirit, and humor will be missed and always cherished. There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony on December 8th 2021, from 12pm to 3pm, at The Forge Social House in Boulder City Nevada (Address: 553 California Ave, Boulder City, NV 89005).
