Douglas Green

Douglas (Clem) Lee Green of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away December 22nd, 2013. He was 68 years old.

Douglas was born October 17th, 1945 in Canandaigua, New York. He was the 13th child of the late George Greene and Louise Greene. Douglas is survived by his wife Linda Green whom he married July 8th, 1999; two daughters: Erica Reichartz and Jessica Stroughter; and two step children: Timothy Stewart and Amanda Stewart. He has four grandchildren; Khiala Green; Taylor Green; Daniel Arnold and William Stroughter.

Douglas was preceded by brothers; Lee Greene; Louis Greene; Edward Green; George Green; Alfred Greene and Charles Greene. Sisters: Helen Greene,Pauline Brown, and a grandson Kolby Green.

Douglas Graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1964. During that time in high school he was the lead singer in the band "The Checkmates." He then went on to become a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, where he earned an honorable discharge with Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.

After his service to his country in the Vietnam War, he came home and became a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service in Oaks Corners, New York. In later years he started his own Karaoke Business with long time friend Bill Foster and they called the business Karaoke and Kompany. He loved to spend his down time fishing with his brothers and working on cars.

Douglas has touched the lives of so many people. He was a great person who would give you the shirt of his back if you needed it, as well as go above and beyond to help his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
