Mesquite

Mesquite, Nevada, Douglas Lundeen, 93, passed away October 19th, 2024 at the Mesa Valley Estates in Mesquite, NV. He was the son of David Russell Lundeen and Florida Davies. He spent the last 54 years married to Karron Mosher Lundeen and resided in Murray, Utah and Mesquite, Nevada.

 Doug spent many of his earlier years going between California and Utah. He had several service stations in the Holiday / Millcreek area. In the early 70s, he owned the Starlite Lounge and had an auto repair shop. As time went on, this building became what he was known for, Dougs Lounge located in Murray. The bar became a staple for many friends to gather and become family. the discussions, the food and the atmosphere is what drew people there. With the help of his wife Karron, they had a menu that rivaled any restaurant in valley. He later sold the bar, loaded up his things and moved to Mesquite, Nevada. He spent the remaining 30 years of his life in the desert where he continued to tinker with cars and just enjoy life.

 He is survived with his wife of over 54 years, Karron (Mesquite, NV), son Brandon Lundeen (Michelle), Murray, son David Lundeen (Karen), Cottonwood heights, daughter Connie Searle (Danny), West Jordan, Gail Albanese (Mesquite, NV), Doug Lundeen Jr. (Desert Springs, AZ) and his brother Russ (Cottonwood Heights). He is preceded in death by his father David, mother Florida and his step father who helped raise him, Jacob Huffman. He also has (8) grand-children and (7) great-grand children.

 The family would like to thank Alison, Monique and Shari with Omniacare Home Health and Hospice for their unwavering and amazing care in his last days. We are forever indebted to you.

 No funeral services are planned at Doug’s request. The reunion with all your friends must have been a real party. Enjoy your sunsets and palm trees.
