DR. KAYE REESE Kaye V. Reese was born in Logan, Utah, June 15, 1931, and passed away April 21, 2012. He grew up locally, at Blue Diamond Mine as well as Las Vegas, where he graduated from Las Vegas High School. He attended Utah State University and worked summers in Las Vegas at his uncle's store, Smith & Chandler, in downtown Las Vegas. He was accepted to and graduated from Marquette University for dental school, and immediately joined the U.S. Army upon graduation. He served his country in Europe, and later traveled the world before returning to Las Vegas, to practice dentistry. Kaye was a fun and outgoing family man, dedicated to bringing laughter into the lives of the people he knew, and was always there to lend support to anyone who needed him. After his retirement, he served as a consultant to dental groups and participated in the UNLV program for oral cancer prevention. He is survived by his five children, Robert Reese, Kenneth M. Reese, Melissa R. Clackum, John G. Reese and David C. Reese, and their mother, Susan; grandchildren, Sarah, Steven and Christopher Reese, Stephanie, April, Hank and Melissa Clackum, Hollie McCurdy, Glenn Priestly, Ashly Hanlon, Marc and Justin Baca, and Tabitha Fierros; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn McCurdy, Kendal Priestly, Haeydin, Madysin and Isiah Clackum. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1. Viewing 10-11 a.m., at the Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Highway. Services follows at noon at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel.
