Elaine Conover Garrett

Elaine Conover Garrett from Ferron, Utah, and Beaver Dam, Arizona, age 75, Passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025 at home. 

She was born January 19, 1950 at Price, Utah to Ray S. Conover and Leola E. Bearnson. She was married to the love of her life for 60+years, Marvin L. Garrett on August 26, 1965 in Taylorsville, Utah, later married and sealed June 26, 1966 at the Salt Lake City Temple. She attended Hollywood Beauty College and became a licensed cosmetologist and hairdresser. She pursued this career for over 45 years working out of her residence in Taylorsville and Ferron. Although she was orphaned at the age of 4, she never lost her love of life. Her sister, Emilee, and her brother-in-law, Paul Snow, took her in and raised her. 

Elaine was an avid bowler and even won a State championship for high handicap one year. She loved golfing, camping, boating, and raising her family. She also loved and cherished every one of her 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She also enjoyed her time spent with her children and adult grandchildren at the casino in Mesquite, NV. where she had won many jackpots and even won a car once. Most of all she enjoyed the many friends she made at the Pai Gow table. She was a manager at the Millsite Golf Course pro shop and also managed the Snack Shack restaurant. 

Elaine was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister Gwen Conover, brother Lee Ray Conover, Sister-in-law Bonnie Conover, brother-in-law Paul Snow, nephews Ray Snow, Greg Snow, David Charels Jaturka, and great nephew Brandon Philips. 

She is survived by her husband Marv Garrett. Sister Emilee Snow. Sister in-law Peggy (Mark) Carlton, NV. Her 4 children John (Megan) Garrett, CA. Rick (Kresta) Garrett, NV. Gary (Gina) Garrett, UT. Jaime (Klint) Anderson UT. 

Graveside service will be determined at a later date in Ferron Utah.
