Elin Bergsveinsdóttir Corbin

November 12, 1934 – February 7, 2025

Elin Bergsveinsdóttir Corbin, born on November 12, 1934, in Reykjavík, Iceland, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025.

Elin’s journey took her from Reykjavík, Iceland to Lakewood, Ohio, where she met and married the love of her life, Robert Ray Corbin Jr., in February 1958. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised a loving family.

Early in life, Elin made the difficult decision to place her eldest daughter, Cathy, for adoption, but their bond was rekindled later, bringing them back together. She was also a devoted mother to Judy, Diane (husband Justin), and Steve (wife Annie).

Elin was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2024, two sons, Jimmy and a baby boy, whom she shared with Robert. Despite these heartbreaking losses, Elin remained a source of warmth, strength, and kindness to those around her.

Known for her ever-present smile and thoughtful nature, Elin brought joy to everyone she met. She was a loving mother and grandmother, devoted wife, and cherished friend, always finding ways to brighten the lives of those she loved.

She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Eric, Ariel, Taline, Ryan & Bridgette. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A service to honor Elin’s life will be held on Thursday, March 13,2025 at 12:00 pm at:

Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery
