Elwood Diehl

Elwood J Diehl age 86 passed away on October 23, 2014 at the Nevada State Veterans Home. He was born in Michigan on December 29, 1927 to Jacob and Ethel Wheaton. He married Irene Smith. They moved to Nevada 30 years ago from Michigan. Elwood worked as a skilled tradesman for General Motors in Flint Michigan. He owned and operated Diehl's Party Store in Davison, Michigan and later worked at the Boulder City Golf Course repairing their golf carts. Elwood enjoyed hunting and in his later years was an avid golfer. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion and Eagles Club.
Elwood is survived by his wife Irene Diehl of Nevada; three children Dennis (Anna) Diehl of Michigan, Pamela Goodyear of Michigan, Jerry (Connie) Diehl of Tennessee; eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Wendall Diehl.
