Ernest Kelly Armijo, age 81 of Las Vegas passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on April 14, 1930 in Clearmont, Wyoming to Louis and Francisca Garcia Armijo. He was preceded in death by his parents both of Pueblo, Colorado; by six siblings: George Armijo of Pueblo Colorado, Joe Armijo of Las Vegas, Nevada, Alice Archuletta of Anaheim, California, Helen Apadoca of San Jose, California, Mary Baca of Lamar, Colorado, Ophelia Borrego of Desert Edge, California, a daughter Ernestine K Armijo-Dollar. Ernest is survived by three daughters Kathleen (Richard) Ruiz of Tucson, AZ, Caroline (Monserrate) Aponte of Las Vegas, NV, Kelly (Manuel Flores) Armijo of Tucson, AZ; two sisters Theresa Romero of Pueblo, CO, Nellie Korbe of Grand Junction, CO; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
