Ernestine Harris age 82, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by her loving family. Ernestine was born on July 6, 1929, to Franz and Anna Oertl in Petschau, Czechoslovakia. She moved from Germany in 1959, to Henderson, Nevada.
Ernestine worked as a nurse. She also worked over 30 years as a Banquet Food Server. Her favorite pastimes were gardening, shopping, and going out to eat. She enjoyed going to the Press Club and Rotary. She loved buying gifts and helping people in need.
Ernestine leaves behind 4 children; Brigitta Williams-Delabarta, Dieter (Monica) Igert, David L. (Shole) Igert, and Sonya L. Burkett, all of Henderson, Nevada. She has 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Harris.
The family held a private viewing and will have a public memorial service on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Palm Mortuary; 7600 S Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada. Burial was at Palm Valley View Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Boulder City Family Mortuary.
