Gale White

Gale Francis White 1950-2011

Gale Frances White aka Gale Krusinski White passed away at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas on the morning of Wednesday, October 26, 2011.

Gale Frances Krusinski was born in Chicago on April 16, 1950. She was the only child of Nobert and Jane Krusinski. She earned degrees at DePaul University and the University of Chicago. She accepted a job as assistant to the president with Zonta International and often traveled to Europe.

She was a successful real estate agent in the Chicago area. She married Robert White in 1974. They moved to Door County, Wisconsin and then to Carrollton, Texas where she raised her son Jimmy and daughter, Jackie. She took an active role in the activities of her children; coaching teams and becoming a female Boy Scout troop leader.

Tragedy struck in 1983 when her daughter Christine suffered a crib death three weeks after birth. Gale rebounded and went back to work and earned a paralegal certificate at Southern Methodist University. From 1992 to 2004 she did paralegal work for law firms, agencies, contractors, and corporate legal departments in the Dallas area. She was respected by those she worked for because of her attention to detail and her work ethic.

She became ill in 2009 and made a partial recovery. Because of emphysema she had to be hooked up to oxygen and life was not always much fun. Prior to her illness, she enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping and golf. But she stayed in good spirits and kept busy with on-line poker and thoroughbred wagering, jewelry making, and following her Chicago Bears. She moved to Boulder City in 2009 and lived there with her long-time friend Daniel Hancock, her mother Jane, her dog, Daisy, and her cats, She lock and Miss L Toes. She was not a long-time Boulder City resident but grew to love the rugged desert landscapes and the beautiful vistas and enjoyed life in Southern Nevada until her death.

She was preceded in death by her father Norbert Krusinski and her daughter Christine. She is survived by her mother Jane Drusinski, her son Jimmy White and his wife Sandra, her daughter Jackie Amador and her husband Jason, her former husband Robert White, her cousins Barbara Zukowski, Clar and Bob Krusinski, and Kathy Frase; and her longtime friends Daniel Hancock and Julie Hall.

She was an upbeat and optimistic person who was a great cook and storyteller. She was extremely generous and always put family first often at her own expense. Her companionship and her dedication to her family will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Dallas, Texas on November 19, 2011 at 10:00am.
