Gary Bachmeier

Gary Andrew Bachmeier, age 68, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015. He was born on November 30, 1946 in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Theobold and Gladys Bachmeier. Gary grew up in Selfridge, North Dakota and attended high school there. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine Tank Crewman in the Vietnam War. Gary spent the majority of his life living in North Platte, Nebraska. A very hard working man who retired after a career with Nebraska Public Power District. A majority of his free time was spent assisting others in taking the steps towards being the best version of themselves as they helped him be the best version of himself. He actively attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Gary moved to Boulder City, Nevada in 2013 to be closer to his family including his beloved grandchildren. Gary had an effect on everyone he came in contact with and rarely took credit for the profound positive impact he had on others. He is survived by the mother of his children and only love Paula Bachmeier, son Theodore Bachmeier, daughter Melissa (Jonathan) Vitt, two grandchildren Lauren and Nicholas; his sister Julie Klein and her family. Gary is preceded in death by his daughter Annie and a brother Mark. Services are pending.
