Gilbert Wood

Gilbert Ralph Wood, 76, died February 7, 2022 at home surrounded by family.  He was born August 9th, 1945 in Overton, Nevada, the son of Ralph Wood and Eva (Johnson) Wood.

Gilbert graduated from Moapa Valley High School Class of 1963.  Following graduation, he served an LDS mission in the Northwestern States Mission.  After his mission, he married his sweetheart Susan Morley.  They settled in Boulder City, Nevada.  They celebrated 54 years of marriage in December.  Gilbert was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was involved with many youth groups and coached basketball within the Boulder City community.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Minnie Marie, two sisters Paula and Jenny, and brother David Humes.

Surviving in addition to his wife Susan, are his sons Daren, Curtis (Brittany), Craig (Jenny), and Jeremy (Nikki); daughters Christine and Jeannine; brothers Bruce and Dennis Humes; 13 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters; many nieces and nephews.

A private service of remembrance was held 11 AM, Saturday, February 12th at Boulder City Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.  Arrangements made by Boulder City Family Mortuary
