Gloria Olson

Gloria Ann Olson age 92 of Henderson, NV passed away on August 7, 2014. She was born on June 8, 1922 in Trenton, Michigan to Shirley and Helen Kester Rice. Gloria moved to Las Vegas in the early 1950's and was working for Central Telephone Company when she met and married Maurice Olson who was the love of her life. They were married 43 years until Maurice passed away in 2002.

Gloria also worked as a hotel operator for the Hacienda Hotel and Casino for over 20 years. She enjoyed the outdoors, and loved to go boating on Lake Mead. Her and her husband enjoyed square dancing, and traveling around the country in their RV. Gloria is survived by her two children Doug (Wendy) Olson of Reno, NV and Gregory (Melinda) Olson of Henderson, NV; seven grandchildren Doug's children: Gregory Olson, Derek (Sarah) Olson, Kennedy Olson, and Gregrory's children Nicholas (Micah) Olson, Hilary Olson, Nicole (Shaun) Hermansen; four great grandchildren Presley, Emery, Brody, Hermansen, and Ryder Olson.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 10:40 am at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
