Gwen Hillenbrand

Gwen A Hillenbrand, age 81 of Henderson, NV passed away on February 12, 2015 surrounded by family. She was born on May 1, 1933 in Elizabeth, NJ to Russell and Eleanor Sampson. She married Hugh Hillenbrand on September 12, 1953 in Syracuse, NY. They had moved to Henderson, Nevada from Southern California 16 years ago. Hugh preceded her in death in 2006.
Gwen was a talented lady who enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking. She loved the time she had to travel with Hugh and the many places they visited. She enjoyed the simple life and made family her number one priority.
She is survived by her eight children Karen Schard, Susan Schard, Hugh Jr. Hillenbrand, Mary Bales, David Hillenbrand, Paul Hillenbrand, Michael Hillenbrand and Amy Myers; three brothers Robert Sampson, Charles Sampson, Russell Sampson; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
