Following his military retirement, he joined the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier, where he continued service to his country for more than 15 years as an ambassador of good will and humor to those who he befriended along his mail routes. Harold was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, gem and rock hunting, and working out in the yard. He loved to tell jokes and spend time with his family. He firmly believed in “family first.” He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
