Harry Otis DeFer

Harry Otis DeFer, age 89 of Mesquite, NV passed away on July 16, 2023.  He was born on April 2, 1934 in Michigan to Leo and Frances DeFer.  Harry moved to Mesquite eight years ago to enjoy the quieter lifestyle.

Harry joined the United States Marines after high school and served three years.  After his time with the Marines, he transferred to the Air Force.  He retired from the Air Force after 17 years.  During his time in the military, he traveled all over the world. He described himself One Part Wisdom, One Part Wit, One Part Manners and The Rest TRUE GRIT. He was a true patriot and loved the time he spent in the military.  He was an avid athlete that enjoyed playing baseball and fast pitch softball.  He enjoyed playing golf.
