Howard Tindall

June 9, 1935 — September 21, 2018

Howard Wesley Tindall, age 83, passed away in Boulder City, NV on September 21, 2018.  He was born on June 9, 1935 in Springfield, MO to Lena Selsor and Finis Tindall.  Howard married Jacqueline Campbell in Tulsa, OK on October 6, 1953 shortly after enlisting in the Navy.  After his military service, he and Jackie returned to Tulsa, where Howard joined the Tulsa Police Department as a Motorcycle Officer.  In 1965, Howard and his family moved to Boulder City, NV and worked for the Boulder City Police Department for 22 years, serving as Chief shortly before retiring. Afterwards he owned and operated the Sears Catalog Store in Boulder City.  He also was a tour guide at the Hoover Dam.  He loved to golf, bowl, and go boating on Lake Mead, and motorcycle riding.  He was a long-term member of the Boulder City Elks Lodge, serving in several key positions through the years, including Exalted Ruler.

Howard is survived by his wife Jacqueline Tindall; three daughters Tracy, Terry (Dave) Lass, and Tammy (Kevin) Morris; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and his fur baby Shih Tzu, Charmin.

He frequently enjoyed sharing a meal and conversation with close friends.  His membership in the Elks Lodge was a favorite avenue to help the citizens of the community, particularly when delivering the staples of a holiday meal to families in need.

The family asks, in lieu of flowers, please donate to a charitable cause.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday October 4, 2018 at 11:20 am at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.  There will be a celebration of life at the Boulder City Elks Lodge immediately following services.  Please join us to share memories of this much loved and respected man.  Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
