Irene Foley

Irene Marie Foley age 77, passed away on February 16, 2012 at her home in Boulder City after a battle with cancer. She was born on February 11, 1935 in Newton, Kansas to Harry and Christine (Kunellis) Meares. Irene graduated from Dorsey High School, in Los Angeles. She married Michael Peter Foley on October 8th in 1955.

Her devotion was to her husband and family. She was a true and loyal friend whose warm smile made everyone feel welcome. After raising her family, Irene became a successful real estate agent for Coldwell Banker in Fallbrook, Ca. In 1998, she joined the $2 Million Club receiving recognition as a top agent North San Diego County. After retiring in 2000 Irene moved with her husband to Boulder City, NV where she was actively involved in the Boulder City Republic Women Association, serving as a member of the Board. Irene loved to read and travel. Some of her favorite destinations were Greece, Hawaii and Mexico.

Irene is survived by her husband Michael Foley; and family including Tim and Cindy Foley, Mark and Ruth Foley, Cathy and Dirk Wietstock, Christy and Ed Kjaer; her brother George Meares and eight grandchildren.
