Jack Lipsman, age 80, of Las Vegas, NV, passed on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, with his family at his bedside. Jack was born in the Bronx, New York, to Abraham (Al) and Toby Lipsman. He was married 56 years to Gail Lipsman until her passing three years ago. They moved to Las Vegas in 1975 from New York. “Big Jack” was a big man, not just in stature, but in spirit as well. He was a Navy-man, an aerospace-man (whose name is actually etched on a placard planted on the moon), a restaurant-man, a gaming dealer-man, and lastly, a man’s man. He always stood by his family and stood up for the underdog, whether it be a harmless animal or the unprotected casino dealers.
He was survived by children Gary (Laurie) Lipsman of Las Vegas, NV, Randy (Ray) Lipsman of Las Vegas, NV, Andrea (Rick) Levinson of Montville, NJ; a sister Sandy Lipsman Frommer Myers (Barry); and five grandchildren Joelle, Nicole, Annalise, Jake, and Kelsey.
Jack was laid to rest with his “Gailee” at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd, Boulder City, NV 89005. Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
