Jack Alfred Oshinski, passed away on June 6, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on August 27, 1931 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania to Alfred and Stella Oshinski. He married Zandra Gaddy-Wilson on August 3, 1979. Jack served in the United States Navy for 20 years, and worked at the Nevada Test during the 80s. After graduating from high school, his love for baseball drove him to try out for the Cincinnati Reds baseball club. He continued his love for baseball throughout his military service and became a professional umpire, umpiring at all military bases he was stationed, including Gitmo Cuba. Above all, Jack cherished and honored family, and his love for the LA Dodgers. Jack is survived by his wife Zandra Oshinski, of Las Vegas, NV; seven children Jack Oshinski, Florida; Richard Oshinski, Carson City, NV; Robert Oshinski, Las Vegas, NV; Bradow Wilson, Las Vegas, NV; Mark Wilson, Phoenix Arizona; Michelle Oshinski-Boyd, Las Vegas, NV; Anthony Oshinski, Las Vegas, NV; two brothers Larry Oshinski, David Oshinski; as sister Alberta Oshinski 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to biological children, Jack leaves a host of adopted children and grandchildren who affectionately call him "Mr. Jack" or "Pappa Jack" Funeral Service will be held on Monday June 16, 2014 at 12 noon at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
