James Ray McPherson

James Ray McPherson, age 70, of Mesquite, NV passed away on August 27, 2024. He was born on November 17, 1953 in Long Beach, CA to James Ray McPherson, Sr. and Joan Ruth Sponseller McPherson. He moved to Mesquite two years ago from Klamath Falls, OR.

James was an active person who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed downhill skiing, fishing, gardening, playing golf and target practice at the shooting range. James served in the United States Army and was an American Legion member. He was also a lifetime member of the Elks Club. After graduating from Oregon Tech (OIT), he worked in the medical imaging field in Oregon, Washington and Hawaii. 

James is survived by his partner Ginny Weems; sons Jimmy McPherson and Joel (Ashley) McPherson; grandchildren Aiden and Olivia; mother Joan Stoker and brothers Bill Henderson and Dave Stoker.
