James Reed
June 22, 1930 — March 30, 2017
James Robert Reed passed away peacefully on March 20, 2017. He was born on July 22, 1930 in South Gate, CA to James and Ethel Reed. Upon graduating from High School, he served two years in the U.S. Army. James was better known to all his friends as “Bob”. He met Barbara, known to her friends as “Barb”, in Lynwood where they both grew up and fell in love and would always be together. They were married in Las Vegas, NV which later they made their permanent home. Bob and Barb moved to Boulder City, NV after Bob retired from McDonnald Douglas after 42 years. Bob and Barb are longtime members of Grace Community Church.
James is survived by his wife Barbara; three children Laura Reed of Boulder City, Jeanie (Tom) Moses Carlsbad of CA, Jim (Adrianne) Reed of Boulder City; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister Patience Resse of Lakewood, CA.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday April 29th at 11:30 a.m. at Grace Community Church 1150 Wyoming Street Boulder City, NV. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday May 2nd at 10:00 am at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Buchanan Blvd Boulder City, NV.
