James Wallace

James (Jim) Wallace age 79 of Boulder City passed away on March 2, 2013. He was born on February 15, 1934 to Wesley and Ernestine Wallace in Buffalo, New York. He married Barbara Zimmett on November 8, 1958 in Buffalo, NY. They moved to Boulder City from Orange County, CA in 2001. He loved Boulder City and the wonderful history of the area.

Jim was a true patriot who served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Honor Guard for the American Legion and also belonged to the Boulder City Elks Lodge. Cars were his passion; he was a member of the Pan Draggers Car Club and participated in many local car shows. He also liked working with his hands and enjoyed being a part of the Retired Renovators helping to keep Grace Community Church looking great.

James is survived by his wife Barbara Wallace of Boulder City; three children Dirk (Linda) Wallace of Orange County, CA; Dawn (Yossi) Lev of Las Vegas; Devan (Annette) Wallace of Orange County, CA; three siblings Donald (June) Wallace of Loganville, GA, Mary Ann Samis of Chula Vista, CA, Robert Oakes of Buffalo, NY; five grandchildren Derrick Wallace, Darci Wallace, Daniel Lev, Sarah Lev, Jacob Lev; and four great grandchildren.

Burial services were held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00 am at Grace Community Church. Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
