Janet Dale
January 25, 1937 — June 21, 2014
Janet Marie Dale, 77 of Boulder City passed away peacefully at home after her battle with cancer, surrounded by her family on June 21, 2014. She was born in La Habra, California on January 25, 1937, the older of two daughters to Richard Henry and Edith Gertrude Mattinson.
Janet moved to Boulder City in 1969 with her husband Jimmy and their three children, with their fourth child being born here. Janet had a love for flowers and plants of all kinds. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting and had a wonderful talent for it all. She worked as an Aide at Andrew J. Mitchell Elementary school for many years, and was adored by the students and teachers. She enjoyed playing tennis with her friends and her daughter and attending all of her children's sports events with Jimmy. After her retirement she enjoyed being at home with her husband of 58 years, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, watching two of her sons on American Restorations, and making beautiful things for her daughter and grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her loving husband James G. Dale Jr., sons Rick Dale (Kelly), Randy Dale (Liz), Ron Dale, daughter Jamie Silverest (Keith) and step-son Michael Dale (Joanne), ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Janet was the sweetest, most caring, loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed immensely, but forever in our hearts.
