Jennie Cece

Jennie Cece (nee De Lorto), of Mesquite Nevada, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2023, at the age of 81. She was born to the union of Fred and Rose Palella De Lorto on March 4, 1942.  She is survived by her husband Frank Cece, sister-in-law Elena (and the late Gabriel Panza), brother-in-law Pat (Ines) Cece and a host of family members, including cousins, nieces and nephews.        

Jennie grew up in the Taylor Street area of Chicago and attended St. Mary’s High School.

She worked at Addison Trail High School. Jennie and Frank were married March 27, 1982 and moved to Mesquite Nevada in 2007. Jennie had a contagious smile and generous heart. She made others feel appreciated and loved.  Jennie always acknowledged everyone’s birthday and other special occasions.      

Jennie was a remarkable woman who will be dearly missed by all those who were blessed to know her.                                        

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11th from 5 pm to 7 pm, at Star Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Road, Mesquite Nevada, 89207.  Funeral services will be held 11 am on Friday at La Virgen De Guadalupe Catholic Church, 401 Canyon Crest Blvd., Mesquite Nevada.  Burial will follow at Mesquite Cemetery (Hardy Way).
