Jeremiah Joseph Riley JR, better known as Jerry passed away on April 20, 2013 after a battle with lung cancer. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to Jeremiah and Violet Cheek Riley on September 2, 1952. He served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1975. After his time in the service and a short stay in Philadelphia he moved to Las Vegas over thirty years ago. He worked for the MGM as a banquet server.
Jerry enjoyed golfing and gambling. He had a passion for the civil war and President Lincoln and collected many relics. He is survived by his mother Violet, of Las Vegas; a brother Mike (Bonnie) Riley of Philadelphia; three aunts: Ruth Wynia, Patricia Redner, Madelyn Cheek; four nephews; five nieces; large number of family and friends at MGM and Tuscany; and his beloved cats Cooney and Spook.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 10:40 am at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
