Jerry Charles Wilson, age 93, of Boulder City, NV passed away on November 4, 2013. He was born Batesville, Arkansas on June 1, 1920 to Jerry and Ann Wilson. Jerry graduated from the University of Oklahoma at Norman 1940 with a degree in Engineering. He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Radford during World War II 1942-45. He received 2 bronze stars and was aboard ship when the Radford was hit by a torpedo, they limped back to Honolulu HI for repairs and returned to action. He was always proud of his service and loved what the Navy taught him. He became an accomplished pilot and loved to fly. Jerry retired as self- employed tele- communications in Calif. ORG and Wash. He also loved to be out on the sea; where he enjoyed fishing. As a sports fan he loved to watch baseball, football, and Nascar. Jerry is survived by his daughter Melanie Springer Boulder City NV, Rodney Wilson of Princton WI. There are 5 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Gloria Ann Randall Wilson who he married in April of 1942, and son Curtis Wilson and 6 other brothers and sisters. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Jerry's name.
