Jimmie Dale Williams, 84, passed away on December 27, 2022. Jimmie “Jim” loved cars, woodworking, an abundance of lights on all things, and his family most of all. He drove a big-rig truck in Los Angeles for many years with the CB handle “Captain Midnight”. A love of cars didn’t end with retirement, he soon started selling Amsoil and teaching grandkids to drive. Throughout his life, Jim was an artist who expressed himself through wood. He made intricate boxes, furniture, cutting boards, pens, toys, signs, and so much more artwork.
Jim’s family was his true love and joy. Married to Margery for 63 years, he raised five children and was there for every step of life for his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Jim took the time to show his family how much he loved them in a million ways, large and small, taking the time to build school projects, teach the finer points of sanding, and attending every sporting event and graduation. His patience, kindness, and cool, calm demeanor made him a beloved friend and loved one for many.
Jim was much loved and will be missed by Margery, his wife and soulmate; sons James (Laura), Jonathan (Mary), and Christopher (Patty); daughters Cynthia (Sherwood) and Lisa (Henry); brothers Donald (Peggy) and Clifford (Sandy), 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren (and was excitedly anticipating his 8th and 9th great-grandchildren); nephews; nieces; and countless friends. He will be buried on Thursday, January 12th at 12pm at the Boulder City Cemetery.
