John Leslie Clements, age 76, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at his home in Mesquite NV, surrounded by his loving family and devoted wife of 56 years, Heather Clements. They met at 17 and he knew as soon as he saw her, that he would love her forever. They were married and sealed for time and all eternity in 1967 in the London England Temple.
Born in Bristol, England, John was a hard worker who served in the Royal Air Force for 22 years with distinction before emigrating to the United States with his family in 1991 to become an accomplished businessman. He was a loving husband, an exemplary father, and an adoring grandfather and great-grandfather, who left a profound legacy on his family and all those who knew him. No one gave a better hug, played a better tune, or lived a better life.
He was preceded in death by his grandchildren Heather and Samuel. John is survived by his wife Heather, his 4 children Amanda, Lisa, Chris, and Jessica, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren who will pass along his memory to future generations. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he served in many callings including 15 years as Patriarch of the Warrensburg Missouri Stake. He accomplished many things but his greatest accomplishment was being the Patriarch of his family. John’s humble, unassuming strength and faith will be greatly missed by his family and all those that have had the privilege of knowing such an amazing man.
