Joseph Whitman

Joseph Walter Whitman, age 82 of Henderson, NV passed away on February 13, 2016. He was born on May 20, 1933 in Chicago, IL to George and Stella Whitman. He married Mary Jane Barthelemy on October 1, 1963 in Chicago. Joseph served his country during the Korean War in the Marine Corps. Joseph worked as a sign hanger in Chicago and moved to the Las Vegas area twenty years ago.
Joseph was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union 73 and of the G&A Social Club. He enjoyed reading, playing cards, watching history documentaries, and discussing politics. He was a true patriot and a man of strong faith in the Catholic Church.
Joseph is survived by his wife Mary Jane Whitman; daughter Noreen Rigsby; two grandchildren Lucien and Jean; three great grandchildren Franky, CJ and Mia. He is preceded in death by a son Michael Walter Whitman.
